Madelynn Garcia
Director of Alumni Relations & Donor Engagement
Madelynn Garcia is a proud native of Whittier, CA, who made her mark at Fresno State after making the move up north in 2017 on an athletic scholarship to play water polo. Maddi was a key member of the 2017 inaugural women’s water polo team that reintroduced the sport to the Fresno State Athletics’ resume. She helped lay the foundation for the program's resurgence, in which the Bulldogs have won 4 conference championships since its return. Madelynn graduated from Fresno State’s College of Health and Human Services in December 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, specializing in Special Events and Tourism.
Following her graduation, she began her career at Ziveli Winery, starting as an intern and quickly rising to the position of Director of Operations. In this role, she showcased her talents by managing the winery’s facilities, orchestrating both public and private events, overseeing the tasting room and wine club, and tackling various administrative responsibilities, all of which enriched her skill set and experience.
Currently, Madelynn serves as the Director of Alumni Relations and Donor Engagement at the Bulldog Foundation where she plays a crucial role in fostering connections between former athlete-alumni, spearheading marketing and graphic design initiatives, and coordinating events. In Addition, she oversees large contributing programs to the Bulldog Annual Fund such as Club Red and the Fresno State Athletic Day of Giving. She continues her 3-year professional partnership with the Bulldog Foundation, where she previously served as a Development Coordinator.
In her free time, Madelynn enjoys creating art, exploring the outdoors, thrifting, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
