Bulldog Foundation Members:
We are very excited to introduce the New Bulldog Foundation in which all areas of athletics development are incorporated under one umbrella. This reorganization has been a four year process in the making, and we feel confident that this new model will allow Fresno State Athletics to take a major leap on the national collegiate athletics landscape. Our goal in this initiative is to simplify the process of supporting Fresno State Athletics, and attract new members. The three areas of emphasis within the Bulldog Foundation are Major/Capital Gifts, Planned Giving, and the Annual Scholarship Fund. Please note the adjoining chart where we introduce new giving levels and the benefits associated with each. The flexibility of this new benefits chart allows Bulldog Supporters to get involved in a variety of ways. Most importantly, we have created new benefits that focus on thanking our donors.
Sport Clubs now play an integral role in the Bulldog Foundation through a systematic and concentrated effort to advance the department as a whole. This is the first year that Bulldog Foundation members will have the opportunity to join the Sport Clubs of their choice in addition to their Scholarship Fund membership at the same time. Each of our Sport Clubs, Coaches, and Staff are excited about the New Bulldog Foundation as it will take this program to new heights in a collaborative manner.
Thank you in advance for your support of Fresno State Athletics and the student-athletes that we sponsor. Our charge is to galvanize the masses in an effort to expand the Red Wave and take this department to the next level – it begins with you!
Respectfully,
Daniel J. White
Associate Athletics Director

Green V Society
The green “V” is a symbol that Fresno State uses to represent its pride in the San Joaquin Valley, the richest agricultural region in the world. The “V” is also the logo of the Green V Society whose members offer annual leadership gifts that provide a margin of excellence in supporting Fresno State’s mission of fielding a nationally competitive athletic program.
First Team donors sponsor the annual athletic scholarship cost of $12,000 for a starting position on one of six Bulldog teams: football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball or softball.
Benefits for Green V Society donors include:
• Fresno Lexus appreciation dinner with coaches at Beiden Field on September 12, 2008
• Access to VIP football parking area
• Golf outing at San Joaquin Country Club with Bulldog coaches on May 12, 2008
• Networking at special Green V hospitality events
Volunteers Make Fresno State Athletics Special
Volunteers have been the cornerstone of the Bulldog Foundation’s scholarship fund drive for 36 years. Two hundred volunteers assist the Bulldog Foundation in raising the dollars needed for our student-athletes to compete at the Division I level by:
• Renewing and soliciting new members
• Building relationships in the community
Please consider joining our volunteers on the “Team Behind the Bulldog Teams” and enjoy the opportunity to interact with student-athletes and coaches. Contact the Bulldog Foundation office for more information at 278.7160.
Numerous other community members volunteer their time and energy in support of our student-athletes through their involvement with our Sport Clubs. These clubs are under the umbrella of the Bulldog Foundation and have a fan base dedicated to increasing the enthusiasm for Fresno State teams and enhancing the student-athlete intercollegiate experience. Membership fees at $50/individual, $100/family, and $200/corporate support approved fan activities. Though sport clubs are not primarily fundraising driven, they may provide resources for designated projects approved by the athletic department.
Planned Giving and Capital Projects
Planned Giving and Facility Capital Campaigns are very important to the long term stability of the Bulldog Athletic program and our student-athletes. The current strong base of annual fund donors and season ticket holders provides a vast array of prospects for planned giving at various levels. The Bulldog Foundation and Fresno State are jointly positioned to help educate donors about the win-win strategy of planned gifts.
The Bulldog Foundation Endowment Fund makes an annual distribution from the fund balance for scholarships. Gifts, including memorial donations, can be made to this fund to support athletic scholarships.
Quality facilities are important to the Bulldog program and some new projects and upgrading of current facilities are already underway. The athletic department will continue to share exciting plans on all of the projects planned for the next decade. Gifts may be made to specific projects as they are designated. Contact the BDF office for more information 278.7160.
